Crossfit WOD “Ryan”

I’ve seen people at my son’s gymnastics classes do these, they don’t look that hard.  It looks like you just pull your self up to the rings and push up.

There is a guy who makes it look so easy, I though I could do them first time.

I was wrong. The guy at my son’s gymnastics classes was a Bronze medalist at the last Olympic games… John Horton? He is about 5’4” and ripped from head to toe. Of course he makes it look easy.

The Muscle Ups came to crossfit today. I though I could do the jumping version. I could do one! Thats it. I get into the transition position, (kinda the bottom of the ring dip) and don’t have the strength or technique to push up.

I moved on the the kneeling muscle up. This get you into the transition easier and you can use your legs to get a little help. To get the most out of  it, you go back down slow and in control. This, it what really help you grease the grove!
